What is Jettison?
Jettison is affordable health care, not insurance. The Jettison app connects you to certified health care professionals.
Download the free Jettison app to your phone from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Now you can request a doctor visit via video, text or voice. You will be connected to a Colorado-based certified medical provider within minutes to help you with non-emergency illness or injury. It’s that easy.
Jettison also offers Health Share, a non-profit membership program that lets a pool of over 37,000 members, just like you, share in the cost of emergency medical expenses and serious illness, reducing healthcare costs far below traditional insurance deductibles.
What are your virtual visits hours of operation?
Healthcare professionals are currently available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. U.S. Mountain Time. Colorado only. Sign up here to be notified when Jettison is available in your state.
RESTRICTIONS
Where does it work?
Jettison is a US-based telemedicine company currently serving patients in Colorado. Due to US healthcare regulations, you must be present in Colorado at the time of a visit.
Are there age restrictions?
Yes, only adults aged from 18 to 64 are eligible. We’re working on putting together a family membership to include children.
Is there any waiting period before membership kicks in?
Once you sign up in the Jettison app, your membership begins immediately.
How long is the membership term?
Membership is month-to-month and is renewed on an annual basis.
I have a pre-existing health condition, can I still become a member?
Yes. You will not be prevented from joining, however, the extent of the medical share may be limited. Refer to pre-existing conditions.
Are there any restrictions on the network?
There is no network restriction, you can use any provider or facility. Present your digital ID card to the provider and tell them “I’m a self/cash pay patient working with a Health Share”. The provider can bill us directly with information found on the card. Alternatively, we will work with the Provider to make payment over the phone at the time of service.
WHAT IF?
I broke my leg, what do I do?
Jettison offers emergency care through Health Share in partnership with Zion Health. Should you get seriously injured, need hospitalization, or require a more intensive level of care, you may submit a medical need request. Emergency care will be provided through Zion Health.
How do I get my prescription medication?
Your Jettison health care professional will determine what prescriptions, if any, are needed. Refills are available through the Jettison app. Medication is delivered to your home via priority mail.
How do I get reimbursed for a medical need?

WHAT IS IT?
Are you an insurance company?
Jettison is not insurance, it's an affordable alternative. We operate on a cash-pay basis with our partners to provide you with the best rates we can. Our Health Share membership lets you share in the cost of emergency medical expenses and serious illness, reducing healthcare costs far below traditional insurance deductibles.
Can I use my health insurance?
Jettison does not work with health insurance.
What is health share?
A HealthShare is a non-profit membership program that allows members to share in medical expenses. Any medical expenses that meet our Member Guidelines are shareable on a per incident or illness basis and are subject to submission deadlines. You'll be responsible for what we call the "Initial Unshareable Amount" or IUA.
Jettioson’s Health Share is in partnership with Zion Health, a nonprofit alternative to traditional health insurance used by over 37,000 people.
What does initial uninsurable amount (or IUA) mean?
This is the amount you will need to pay for eligible medical expenses before Health Share offsets your costs.
You will never pay more than three IUAs in a rolling 12-month period. This is a per household limit.
Once your IUA is met for a medical incident, your eligible bills for that need are 100% offset by Health Share.
Is there a copay? What is my deductible?
Jettison is affordable health care, not insurance. You never have copays or deductibles with Jettison.
Does this include dental or vision?
Jettison does not currently include dental or vision.
Who are Jettison’s medical providers?
All of Jettison’s medical providers are board certified physicians, nurses and therapists.
Can I get labs and imaging thru Jettison?
Yes, Jettison has partner lab facilities you can visit in person thru referral.

When will you be available in states other than Colorado?
We are establishing ourselves in Colorado currently and will expand into other states at the appropriate time. Sign up here to be notified when Jettison is available in your state.
